ABOUT ME: Artist. Graphic designer. Mum of twins. Entrepreneur. Part-time knitter, crafter, scrapbooker, gardener, and traveler. I enjoy documenting our life in the fast-changing pace of Shanghai living.
Week 35 of #wanderlust2023 with @finnabair is all about emotions. Did a bit of improvising with other materials for this lesson but totally enjoyed putting this spread together. Part 2 of my Week 34 of #wanderlust2023 with @franciscanunes_heartmakes is using some other fabric I sprayed and splattered with pigment powders and created mini “specimens” of lichens and moss on embroidery hoops. Plenty of slow stitching for this one using the little embroidery types that I know to simulate lichen and moss on the fabric. Part 1 of my Week 34 of #wanderlust2023 with @franciscanunes_heartmakes all about lichens and how to bring them into our art journal. I’ve never really seen lichens in real life so had to research more about these. Since I didn’t have greens in my arsenal of pigment powders, I opted for yellows and reds. I ended up creating 2 pages.
