ABOUT ME: Artist. Graphic designer. Mum of twins. Entrepreneur. Part-time knitter, crafter, scrapbooker, gardener, and traveler. I enjoy documenting our life in the fast-changing pace of Shanghai living.
#wanderlust2023 Week 37 lesson with @finnabair . Using a limited palette of pigment powders, I aimed to create contrast by placing a magazine cut-out of a woman on a messy background of various textures. I found some #timholtz ephemera in my collection to add the finishing touches. I coloured it with @finnabair_studio wax paste to match the colors used in the background. 06:30 am Zhejiang Road Bridge. The bridge was quite daunting to sketch so ended up drawing with watercolour pencils before adding watercolour paint in. The second sketch was done as we sat on the bridge and feeling the vibrations every time a heavy transport would pass. Great weather this morning and a “partner in crime” in @vanishing.shanghai was a great way to start the day. A little downtime for me means creating something from my long list of projects. Today was about making these teabag ephemera, thanks to Suzy’s (@shabby.soul) tutorial. This was a different approach to one I had done before and I totally enjoyed making these ephemera using this approach.
