A few weeks ago, I made my way to Taipei again for a whirlwind 3-day trip to get some personal matters sorted out. As it was a short trip, I decided to make use of the unused pages in my TN insert I used before. My entries this time is quite a contrast to my last year’s Taipei trip. Less images and texts but I quite love how they turned out. There was pre-planning on the pages to use, just went with the flow. The special edition TN stickers I managed to pick up went perfectly with my pages… That’s it… If you follow me on IG, you may have read…

A last-minute decision to make a trip to my hometown to visit family was pretty much a blur from the time before we left and the time we came back. If you follow me on IG, I posted about moving to a new apartment, which in itself was a BIG STRESS. The unpacking and the crazy deadlines meant I did not have time to put a lot of time into how I was documenting my trip. I knew it had to be as minimal as possible and would be painless. So I ended up with the 1/2 Trip Traveler’s Factory insert (I had used one before on another trip last year)…

Yet another year has come to pass and I’ve managed to add another album to my December Daily collection. Yay! This year, I was set to: use up as much stash I could use as many supplies as I have keep it simple like 2014 I ended up with the foundation pages set up similar to the finished albums I made from the early years. I did have every intention of doing this album in the evenings, but with so many things suddenly happening at work and with kids’ schedule, I ended up working on some pages bit by bit. I diligently wrote notes or journal entries in my Day…

Finally, I’ve finished the new set of weekly title cards (4×6) which you can use on your Project Life album or other scrapbook project. UPDATE: I also now made a 3×4 size because I am changing my PL size for 2016 + NEW SET of cards that starts on Monday. These are still formatted to print on a 4×6 cardstock so you can print 2 in a sheet, you just need to cut the printed card in half. This year is my 6th year of doing Project Life. I have come to a point where I am re-thinking about the size of the album. I am thinking of going to a…

These are my very first journal card printable for your to download. I was designing our company’s Christmas card and I had some extra hand drawn elements so I thought I’d use these to design journal cards I can use in my Project Life December spreads. I printed these on white cardstock with silver specks so there is a bit of a speckle effect on these photos. I would love to see how you use these journal cards in your projects. Use the hashtag #arlyna and tag me (@abshanghai) on Instagram. DOWNLOAD THE PDF HERE (*DOWNLOADS ARE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.) Enjoy.

As with all my travels the past few years, I document these as much as I can. On the recent Taipei trip (read here and here), I’ve made the documenting even simpler with only a few basic stuff that I brought with me, packed into my Delfonics Inner Carrying pouch. Here’s a look at the few pages I used inside my handmade leather Traveler’s Notebook system using the 013 insert. Day 1 I cut up brochures I picked up at the airport along with other ephemera from places I could find. I printed small photos when I got back to Shanghai because I forgot to bring my Instax Printer! Day…

Back in August, I posted this freebie to a Week in the Life notebook in the MTN regular size format. I documented our Week in the Life by Ali Edwards this year using this format but with less photos than I used. Like last year, having this portable size made documenting easier. I thought I’d share a few pages off my notebook. Here goes… Thanks for looking.

This is the second part of the 2-part post of how I documented one of our summer trips. The first part can be found here. For this journal, I made a notebook to go into my Midori Travelers Notebook which turned out thicker than the first part. Which has it’s pros and cons. Srill, I’m quite happy with the way this turned out and so this post is quite heavy with images. Here’s a look at some of the pages: I love this little globe sticker from Midori which I picked up in Osaka last June. And the Ali Edwards tags from the Go Story Kit as perfect opener. I…

Every October the past few years, I’ve been wanting to do a mini gratitude album but every time, something aways comes up. But this year since I am using my Midori Traveler’s Notebooks all the time now, I decided to create a mini notebook that I can squeeze in. That way I can add in some words wherever I am. The whole idea is to keep things simple just jotting down things on my mind. Maybe I will add a photo or so, depending on what I’m grateful for on that day. I am using the MTN Passport size as it is my main agenda book. You can also use this…

This is going to be a photo-heavy post because I just found out that I forgot to do a post on my Project Life spreads spanning May, June and July before I went to the Philippines a couple weeks ago! So here they are… I’m loving these chipboard stickers from the Ali Edwards Story Kits which I am trying to hoard! For week 26, I had to include an extra page to fit in photos I did not include in the travel journal. Week 27 is only 1 page as this ends my Volume 1 of my 2015 Project Life. Somehow this volume is not as thick as my previous…
