Quilts of 2015

This year was one of those times where I’ve surprisingly sewn more quilts than any other year! I’ve surprised myself for even managing to finish them in time.

I love how these simple blocks turned out. A combination of different blocks that I’ve been sewing since 2014!

I usually don’t follow a pattern or have anything concrete as I am making the quilts. I just mix-&-match them and play around before settling on the final ‘layout’.

And then I decidedly to finally try my hand at chevron pattern, moving away from my squares.

I quite love the way this turned out… and now want to do more!

And in between making the above quilts, I had to rush and finish this huge quilt for my sister as I had to give this to her when I see her in the Philippines. (Saving me lots on postage costs!) I also love the way this turned out because it is a combination of plain squares and scrappy login cabin blocks.

A lot of these quilts uses fabric from stash I have been hoarding. I think it was the right time to put these little treasure to use.
