Valentine’s Day Gifts

Back in January, been thinking of something I could make for my family as a little Valentine’s present. And then voila! I found Freckle Photoblog via Ali Edwards’ blog and instantly I knew it was the perfect project for someone as busy as me.

It took more than a month(!) to find the right photos and take photos to add to my pages. For the first time, I decided to use black-&-white photos on the inside and using the texts as the main focus of the spread. Here’s a few of my favourite spreads in the book.

Printing the books and putting it all together wasn’t that difficult except I had to go to Kinko’s to get them to trim the 3 sides for me to make it all even.

Tonight, I finally got to give this to everyone and just seeing them flip through the pages was well worth all the hours here and there. I had to give the pressies tonight because I didn’t want to get stressed in the morning (as it’s the first day of school after the Spring break).

Samuel even told me when I tucked him in bed: “I will keep the book so that when I am bigger, I can look at it again and remember when I was small…”

Love.
