Just checking in and wanted to share with you some pictures from our last-minute trip to Yinchuan last August. Amazing city brimming with a mix of Muslim and Chinese culture. Wish we had more time to explore.

This is going to be a photo-heavy post because I just found out that I forgot to do a post on my Project Life spreads spanning May, June and July before I went to the Philippines a couple weeks ago! So here they are… I’m loving these chipboard stickers from the Ali Edwards Story Kits which I am trying to hoard! For week 26, I had to include an extra page to fit in photos I did not include in the travel journal. Week 27 is only 1 page as this ends my Volume 1 of my 2015 Project Life.…

My suitcase from the recent trip to the Philippines has not been completely unpacked and then I had to go on a business trip to Yinchuan. As I have not been to Yinchuan before, I decided to take this chance to take my kids along. And of course, I debated on whether I will do a travel journal or not. I’m glad I did! I kept things simple and decided to use a Traveler’s Notebook Refill for a Short Trip with my Passport size Midori Traveler’s Notebook (which I got on sale!). The stuff I brought on previous trips were practically…

For this year’s #weekinthelife by Ali Edwards, I’ve re-designed (yes, being a designer, I can never be happy with a design especially when it is for myself…!) the Traveler’s Notebook format I did last year. This time I did 2 new designs with ample space for photos or journaling. My #weekinthelife starts Sunday instead of Monday as this is same way I document with my Project Life pages. This is what I did last year with lots of photos. This year, I may add more words instead of photos. Let’s see how everything goes from tomorrow. Putting this booklet together…

This is a 2-part post more because I ended up going to my hometown, Tacloban City, twice in July. I initially thought of putting both trips into 1 journal but I decided that on both trips, there will be different events and activities so I made 2. Here’s a look at some of the pages: Thanks for looking.

Are you ready for #weekinthelife by Ali Edwards happening August 17; I’m doing mine starting from the 16th, Sunday, to coincide with my Project Life system. I’ve been doing this on-&-off for years depending on how my workload is. This year, I’m doing the system I did last year because I find it quite easy to do or catch up. The previous years, I used Evernote to document the days.

On every trip during the last few years, I never leave without a travel journal or album with me. Along with a handmade and customized journal or album, I bring along with me a few necessary supplies which has now become more of a ‘standard’ set in a bag. So just want to share with you a few pages from my Japan travel journal which is sized to fit inside my handmade fauxdori (similar to this). The cover uses an old Amy Tangerine paper from the Sketchbook collection. And stitched with alphas on the cover. I finally got to use…

Last June, we had the chance to travel to Japan; our first taste of a country steeped in culture. It was an unforgettable experience! I wouldn’t mind going back there again to explore more of the temples and gardens especially Kyoto. Thanks for looking.

A few more weeks and summer is here! Time seems to go by faster these days. Sharing finished Project Life spreads which I’ve forgotten to post! 🙁 Did I tell you how this project still is my favourite? Week 15 coincided with Easter and the Tomb-Sweeping holiday and mid-term exams, working on quilt tops and art journals. A busy week indeed. Week 11 is about the art contest the kids’ joined as well as their Spring field trip to Sheshan. It was interesting to see what photos Samuel brought back from the trip; Audrey forgot to bring her iPod hence…

Days seem to be passing me by in a blur! I’m typically mostly caught up with Project Life but it’s getting the photos done, editing and creating a blog post that seem to take me longer to do. Anyways, here are my March pages. April is almost done and will take advantage of the Labour Day weekend to do the blogpost. Week 10 is mostly about new school semester and new routine which made it a hectic week so did not a lot of chance to take photos. Week 11 is mostly trying to adjust to the new routine, getting…
