2016 Analogue System

Pretty much before 2015 ended, a lot of people would already have clear idea on what choices they have made for their analogue system – planning and documenting. To be honest, I actually had a clear idea back in December.

I started with this Stalogy for journaling… (#lifecapturedproject is not continuing in 2016 which is a real pity)

But with life taking over most of my waking time, in between, not finding “the’  journal prompts I was inspired to use, this notebook sat empty…up until now…

And then in January, I designed a quarterly insert for my regular size fauxdori when my 2015 passport size insert was used up.

Still, I was nowhere from feeling like it was working for me except for the passport MTN that I do brain dumps in.

Fast forward to February after my last trip… Everything suddenly became clear to me (and I hate myself for not thinking of it sooner)! I finally decided on using both of my Midori Traveler’s Notebooks (passport and regular sizes) as my EDC and main analogue system for:

• planning
• creative outlets
• documenting trips
• journaling

FINALLY! I found planner peace at last! So here’s what I have planned for 2016…

Passport size – looks scuffed but I love it a lot! I now have Field Notes inserts as I love the size and paper quality.

Snowblind Edition insert for my brain dumps.

Ambition Edition insert for my weekly agenda.

Another Ambition Edition Memo insert for various notes, budgets, etc.

Regular size – this is one I’ve been saving for a couple years while I’ve been using my own handmade fauxdori. Somehow I felt it was really time to break it out now. So, this one is most specifically only for creative outlet.

I put back into the regular size the #012 Sketch Paper insert I had been using for sketches and doodles last year. I think it is time to use up all the remaining empty pages…

The #014 Kraft Paper insert is specifically for journaling. I’m using the 2015 prompts from here. Now feeling at peace and have started journaling again.
